Instagram and Facebook only offer apps you've installed in their "Share to…" row. Here's how to put LinkPlate in that row on your phone — then any recipe is two taps from a shopping list.
iOS only lets installed apps join the share sheet, so we use the built-in Shortcuts app — it works exactly the same way and takes about a minute.
Open the Shortcuts app → + to create a new shortcut.
Tap the info (i) icon → turn on Show in Share Sheet. Under "Receive", set it to accept URLs and Text.
Add the action Text and paste: https://linkplate.app/import?url= then insert the Shortcut Input variable right after the =.
Add the action Open URLs below it (it will use the text above).
Name it Save to LinkPlate and pick the LinkPlate icon colour you like. Done — in Instagram tap Share to… and choose it.
Also worth doing: open LinkPlate in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen so it opens full-screen like an app.
No shortcut needed — LinkPlate registers itself as a share target once it's installed.
Open linkplate.app in Chrome.
Tap the ⋮ menu → Install app (or "Add to Home screen").
In Instagram, Facebook or TikTok tap Share to… → LinkPlate. The recipe starts reading automatically.
Tap Copy link in the share sheet, open LinkPlate and paste it. If the platform blocks us, paste the caption text or upload a screenshot instead — same result.
