Video link → recipe → shopping list

Turn a recipe video into an ingredient list you can shop from

Creators post recipes as 40-second videos. Panfile reads the link and gives you the part you actually need at the store: every ingredient down to the spices, the steps in order, per-serving macros, and a shopping list grouped by aisle.

What Panfile can read

YouTube & Shorts

Reads the description, falls back to spoken captions.

Recipe blogs & sites

Reads the article page directly.

TikTok

Paste the caption when the link is locked down.

Instagram Reels

Paste the caption when the link is locked down.

How it works

  1. 1. Paste the link

Any video or article URL where the creator posted the recipe. If the platform hides the caption, paste the text instead.

  2. 2. Panfile reads it

Ingredients with quantities, spices, cooking steps in order, and calories, protein, carbs and fat per serving.

  3. 3. Shop and cook

Tick the items you're missing into a grouped, printable list. Scale servings, follow Cook Mode, and file the recipe in an album.

Questions

How do I turn a YouTube recipe into a shopping list?
Paste the video or Shorts link into Panfile. It reads the video's description — and its spoken captions when the description is thin — then pulls out every ingredient, the steps, and the per-serving macros. Tick the ingredients you're missing and they go straight to your shopping list, grouped by aisle.
Does it work with TikTok and Instagram Reels?
Partly. TikTok and Instagram hide captions from anonymous requests, so Panfile can't always read them from the link alone. When that happens it asks you to paste the caption text instead, and extraction runs exactly the same from there.
Does it work with recipe blogs?
Yes. Blog posts and recipe sites are the most reliable source — paste the article URL and Panfile reads the page directly, no extra step.
Can I scale a recipe to different servings?
Yes. Change the serving count on any saved recipe and the ingredient amounts and macros recalculate, including fractions and ranges.
Can I print the shopping list?
Yes. The list groups by category — produce, protein, dairy, pantry, spices — and has a print-clean layout plus copy-to-clipboard.
Can I organize recipes by creator?
Yes. Albums are free-form, so most people make one per creator they follow, or one per goal like meal prep or desserts.
